Mother City Sketch
"Mother City Sketch" presents original comedy skits performed live by members of The Long Shots theatre troupe and others from the Cape Town comedy scene. This collection of short sketches pokes fun at over-the-top Valentine's Day presents, wine pairing courses, ugly newborns and more. You'll laugh until your cheeks hurt, but it will be worth it.
Writer/Director Robin Hitchcock began producing sketch comedy in 2011 with the all-female troupe Frankly Scarlett, based in Pittsburgh USA. Since moving to Cape Town, Robin has been affiliated with The Long Shots improvisational comedy troupe and Improv Cape Town. Mother City Sketch marks the South African debut of her written comedy material. The Long Shots, who comprise the core cast of the show, have been performing improvised comedy in Cape Town since 2011, and are thrilled to branch out into pre-scripted material with Mother City Sketch.

Very funny! Refreshing comedy from American and English writers brought us something we haven't seen before. Great sense of humour with some of the sketches having a distinct SA flavour.
