Audience Responses
What a great performance! And Alexander Upstairs provided such an intimate and personal venue, felt very privileged to experience a close connection between musicians and audience.
It was sublimely good. Absolutely world class. I lived in NYC for seven years and Greenwich Village jazz clubs have got nothing on that performance! Please have them all back asap!
They were wonderful! The blend of different musical styles and poetry rocked the house. I'm a huge fan of watching performance art up close and personal. Thank you, Alexandre Bar for providing that opportunity at a price that I can afford. I also appreciate the racial/cultural mix of people that came out last night. We need more spaces like this in Cape Town. Keep it up!
Brilliant band! Loved every song in their set. If their CD goes on sale at Alexander Bar, let us know.
Loved the evening. Melanie & band was great. Pity that the show was only an hour (it was billed as a 110min show - which seems very long, but a few more songs would have been great)
We liked it, maybe a few too many musicians on stage for such a small venue, maybe a bit too short for a 110min performance as announced before. Good vibe though... Thx
Melanie Scholtz and The Love Apples was fantastic. Her voice is beautiful and the venue was perfect. What a great way to spend a rainy Winter's evening in Cape Town!
