Veteran improviser Megan Furniss is joined by a different partner each show to make stuff up in an hour of pure improv. There may, or may not, be a ______ (fill in the blank) in the show.
A firm favourite of improv followers, improv duos is all about the pair on stage. Absolutely anything can happen and it usually does. Megan Furniss, Cape Town's oldest improviser delights in having the time of her life on the Alexander stage, and this time around she does it with a special somebody each night.
Joining her on Thursday 3 May, will be actor, improviser, artistic director of ImproGuise, and lecturer Tandi Buchan. Megan and Tandi love improvising together so much that they do it even when nobody is watching. Their improv is naughty, creative and full of relationships, crazy characters and accents.
On Friday 4 May, Megan is joined by Brett Anderson; writer, coach, improviser and all round funny guy. When Megan and Brett improvise anything can happen, and it usually does. Expect wordplay, rhymes, plenty of styles and tons of energy. No, wait. Don’t expect anything. Who knows what will happen?
Anne Hirsch shares the stage with Megan on Saturday night 5 May. Most hilarious host, comedienne, and specialist Western walk improviser, Anne is most in love with fierce and funny short improv games with Megan, and when it’s just the two of them, they will fly through some of their favourites in an hour.
