ImproGuise presents: Pop-Up Improv
Following on from their last successful three nights of improvised ‘Fake Place” at Alexander Bar in Sept, ImproGuise, Cape Town’s oldest and most loved Improv troupe, take to their favourite stage in Cape Town to bring you their special brand of high risk and hilarious, long form improv, this time in the form of three most loved audience favourites. Choose one, or come to all three. Film Noir, Naked Improv and the hugely popular, Fake Place.
Thursday 22 November is the sizzling, fairly new format The Big... An Improvised Film Noir- Inspired by the much loved 1940’s film genre, the actors explore the ‘detective film” with its hard-boiled Private detectives, sultry backstabbing dames and seedy criminals in a dazzling but shadowy world.
Cast: Megan Furniss, Leon Clingman, Ryan Jales, Tandi Buchan, Anne Hirsch, Brett Anderson, Peter Faure
Music by: Godfrey Johnson and Menashe Roussouw
Friday 23 November sees the return of an incredibly popular format Naked Improv Stripped down to its bare minimum. Improv from nothing. Daring and delicious.
Cast: Megan Furniss, Tandi Buchan, Leon Clingman and Pete Faure.
Saturday 24 November is the wildly popular and gut wrenchingly funny “Fake Place” - a homespun tale, where a handful of highly skilled improvisers explore a fictional place and play all the loveable and eccentric characters in it
Cast: Tandi Buchan, Megan Furniss, Leon Clingman, Brett Andersson and Peter Faure.
Audience Responses

Great fun watching the team create hilarious scenarios out of nothing. Hats off - superb performance by very talented group. A fantastic night out - thank you!
Simply brilliant!
Hilariously funny, extremely talented troupe
totally hilarious.
Thank you
I really enjoyed it, it was super !
My first time at Nude Improv and was a bit disappointed. Lack of audience participation/suggestions severed the connection between actors and audience that usually makes improv feel so fresh and immediate. The show was very funny but it did sometimes feel that the actors were larking about developing skits that they had been working on
