New formats include Alexander Abbey- a period drama, “WestWord “– a word from the audience that allows them to improv travel, and The Show Currently Known as Tribute – an improvised tribute show about a made up band, with real, made up songs based on titles from the audience. Old favourites include Naked Improv , Documentary and Duo’s. Each night is different, so watch one or watch all!

Wow wow wow! I'd seen Improguise once before (and know several Improguisers) and really enjoyed the show, but last night's 'Tribute' performance was one of the best performances of any kind I've ever seen, and I think all watching agreed, offering a standing ovation at the end and raucous laughter throughout. It was brilliant. All the more amazing as the troupe had never done this format before. Didn't want it to end...loved the combo of improv and music. I think the intimacy of your venue really enhanced the experience; we sat in the front row. My friend and I are hicks from the uitland...I'm from Noordhoek, she's from Hout Bay...and we so enjoyed the evening, the ambience, at Alexander Bar as well. We sat outside sipping our wine and I told my friend, 'It's a little like being in New York' (I'm American, used to live there) -- the bar is cool, trendy but friendly (I love the decor, and the people working there are lovely)...so thank you for a fabulous time on all counts!
Beyond terrific
Absolutely incredible. Come back to Galloway!!!!!!!
Clever, fun but repetitive (seeing the same formula 3 times got boring).
Hilarious fun! Great improv groupwork, thank you for such super entertainment :D Looking forward to this genre again in the future!!!
fabulous. unstoppably and hilariously funny
It was brilliant and entertaining, never seen anything like it before!
The actors immersed them in what they were doing. Genius! Love The Alexander, and will definitely be back. The online booking system is smooth and easy to use, and the confirmation emails and reminders makes it a pleasure to visit you guys.
Such fun! Hoping to come on thursday again.
Funny stuff good idea presenting improv. Hard to find. We're New Yorkers living on the west coast.
