For the Love of Music | with Christy-Lyn (singer & harpist)
"For the love of music" with Christy-Lyn: Celtic harpist and singer. The singer-harpist from The Voice SA will transport listeners to another world as she shares songs about love for the homeland, a mother's love, fleeting love, and love that lasts a lifetime.
Known as the harpist with the curly red hair from The Voice South Africa 2017, Christy-Lyn wowed the coaches who were “transported to another world”, and put her through as one of the top 48 contestants in this nationally televised singing competition. Drawn to the music of her McDougall and Stuart heritage, Christy-Lyn has trained in Celtic harp and singing in addition to her foundation of training in Classical harp and voice. Christy-Lyn performs a mix of Celtic folk music and nostalgic love songs as she weaves a message of hope in her authentic and intimate style.
"Christy-Lyn has an excellent stage presence with her natural ability to captivate the audience through positive energetic performances which leave them feeling uplifted"

Audience Responses
Wonderfully fresh talent - obviously very inspired by celtic music - probably her roots. This music is a bit of an acquired taste even for seasoned audiences. Her singing is great and from her heart - her harp playing OUT of this world. Huge talent there. Wish I could be at the Knysna Celtic festival !
