First Glance is an Afro Pop Album, performed by Mae Sithole and her talented team of musicians. The renowned Rashid Adams, plays a wide range of instruments ranging from guitar, keyboard, djembe, kalimba/mbira and the African harp. Lusani Nemalili is a gifted acoustic guitarist, drummer and singer. This show will keep you on the edge of your seat as Mae Sithole and this band of musicians take you on a journey through this dynamic album. Mae Sithole and the band weave different genres of music together including a fusion between acoustic guitar and the mbira/kalimba. Each song is unique and this show promises to have every listener intrigued by the unique blend of sounds and harmonies.  Mae Sithole is a songwriter and musician from Zimbabwe, living in Cape Town since 2009. Her passion for music started when she was a child. She grew up in a musical family. In her teens, she was awarded an Honours at the Zimbabwe Eistedfud competition. She loves the performing arts, having played Demekech in The Wizard of Oz comes to Ethiopa, and several roles in other musicals. She has worked with Andrew Baird, Audrey Mbuyazi, Rebekah Matheny, Henry Olonga, amongst other international artists. First Glance is her debut solo album.
