The Dog's Bollocks
Off the wall comedy - back by popular demand!
Gaëtan Schmid returns as the eccentric Eastern European professor who rants about the history and propagation of the English language, its idiosyncrasies and etymological quirks.
Don't mind the prof's lack of vocabulary, ill-fitted costume and small suitcase. His exuberance will blow your socks off!
Directed by Rob Murray.
“... a class act … hilarious one-man show...” Mail&Guardian
“…an hour of outrageous laughter … awesome imagination … Go see it.” Artslink
“Gaëtan is brilliant … extraordinary energy … exceptional comic timing … amazing commitment and enthusiasm ...” Megan’s Head
Audience Responses
Intelligent, excellently researched & acted - very entertaining.
Not as entertaining as the reviews on the site had led me to believe; some incorrect information, so it makes me doubt the rest of what he tried to "teach".
More interesting (linguistically) than humorous. Would have given it 5 stars if it had been advertised as a lecture. Still love the bar.
Loved it! Fantastic energy and fascinating material.
Although the jokes flew over my head sometimes, the energy and enthusiasm for the subject matter was brilliant. Very entertaining
did not hold attention for full hour - pace was out of sync - still enjoyed it though xxx
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The show was innovative and entertaining. We also loved the venue. We'll be back. 4/5
