A Woman Alone And Other Female Parts
Two short plays by the Italian playwright Dario Fo in one evening performance.
A Woman Alone deals with a woman entrapped by domesticity and an abusive husband. The play moves through farce to tragedy to a shocking climax. Waking up sees a working mother desperately and hilariously trying to deal with the demands of work and motherhood.

NO stars!!!!! It was hands down the WORST thing (I can't call it a play) I have ever soon. There was no acting - only screaming and ranting and zero nuance. The script was a disgrace. I had to stop myself several times from walking out in the middle of the show I can't believe I wasted R120 per ticket x 3 on that absolute piece of horror! A disgrace and insult to theatre and the acting profession.
very intense, thought-provoking and excellent theatrical talent on stage
A completely divided experience. I enjoyed the first play and hated the second.
Sue Diepeveen was very good! Love both pieces!
I loved it, very raw, very thought provoking.
Well done all!! Incredible performance by Sue Diepeveen!!! Relevant story to current times, thank you for this.
Hi, I have always enjoyed the Alexander bar and the often experimental shows that are put on. However, last nights performance unfortunately I did not enjoy. The first half did not have enough layers and the character was not believable. The second show was more interesting and layered, the actress was great but the story left loose ends- it seemed unfinished. I will most certainly be back for many more shows but was dissapointed this time round. I know you can always get it right! Otherwise I had a great evening, with drinks at the bar before hand, so thank you!
