In a time where our existence is protest, what can one do but embrace it through song.

SOME DAYS returns to the Alexander Bar Upstairs after a sold-out first run. The music revue, starring Cleo Raatus (District Six: Kanala), Tankiso Mamabolo (Nothing But The Truth) and Sizwesandile Mnisi (Woza Albert!), is set to the themes of resilience, pain, joy and strife in soul and jazz music.

Accompanied by David Lubbe (Dani & The Lion) on piano, the cast tell the story of three young, gifted and black artists finding strength in music.
Audience members had this to say about the show:
“This gave me so much life and healing tonight, I'll be back here again tomorrow because Cleo Raatus, Sizwesandile Mnisi and Tankiso Mamabolo drag you to heaven and back with their soul and voices...Sweet Holy Waters. I needed this tonight.” – KOLEKA PUTUMA “Truly amazing! The performers were compelling and their voices were out of this world.” – NALEDI “Some Days was wonderful. It was just what a needed on a cold, rainy Tuesday in Cape Town. The performers are talented. They can evoke emotion with their voices and choice of song. I absolutely loved the show. The dude on the piano knows his thing. His fingers. Beautiful…” – LWANDO “What an amazing experience!! What a pleasure spending the evening with such talented voices. There's honestly magic in melanin!” – NOKULUNGA
