Just A Number
Young, queer and struggling. With life. With love. With money. Sipho Mahlatshana brings to the stage the story of an actor caught between big dreams and bad decisions. A story of chance, taking them and asking for them in audition after audition until tragedy throws everything off course. Will a new obsession keep him sane? Or will he be just a number...
Audience Responses
Great material and relevant.
Sipho is a great actor and I found his range of characters and emotion to be very impressive and convincing. What let this show down was the lack of a coherent story, while being angry and feeling marginalised are powerful themes, this story needed more to keep the audience entertained.
good to see diverse black queer narratives that disrupt expectations of what has been dominated as 'authentic' black queer experiences
