Boylesque pays tribute to 1930's and 40's American style of burlesque striptease performances, but with a South Africa twist! It's a fun journey through a smorgasbord of genres and styles covering comedy, singing, ballet, disco and drag.

The cast of this variety show go through twenty two costume changes in an hour!

It's a tongue in cheek sexy and fun celebration of talent, versatility,  and of course, the male and female physique.

A very different take on Burlesque-well rooted in South African culture and very appropriate to Cape Town in particular.Touching, sexy and hilarious! Well done to the performers for using the limited space so effectively!

I loved it!

We were in stitches! The team from Boylesque hit the right notes - its funny, naughty, sexy, but not offensive. Its a delight! The actors are dynamic and almost addictive. The blend of original material makes it special while we can all have a laugh to some favourites mixed up with perfect comedic timing. Bravo! Brava! Please come back to Cape Town. We need something fresh and new. Alexander Bar is also a perfectly intimate venue.

The show was hilarious -- good fun!! Dragged a friend of mine with -- wasn't too keen at first but left having enjoyed every minute of it. Obviously the show wasn't perfect but I'd hardly dwell on it's technical imperfections - those were barely memorable thanks to the casts quick ability to recover coupled with their individual charismatic stage personae (each one of them really stood out and represented their perspective disciplines very well) what I particularly loved was homegrown material found from beginning to end -- really refreshing always walking in a show and given local relatable subject matter within a performance so well done to the team on a well rounded show!!!!
